by the American Craft Spirits Association at the annual Heartland Whiskey Competition.

Craft spirit industry experts blind tasted each submission from ever state. All submissions are tasted and graded on a point system. The highest points determine medal winners for Best in show and Best of State.

Master Distiller Adam Hines says, “we are honored to win both categories for Double Oaked Batch #2, which was released this past July. I had always wanted to create a Double Oaked product. It is probably my favorite out of our Whiskey War line.

The first batch sold out in 24 hours. The second batch sold out in 26 hours, with over triple the amount of barrels. From whiskey fans to spirit competition judges, I am so happy that the quality of the product is being recognized.”

Double Oaked is a rye-heavy mash bill who’s nose is dominated with oak and caramel. An overall sweet, earthy, and smooth experience that is easy to drink at 100 proof. This product is usually blended at around 2 1/2 years old and then spends another 18 months in a new oak barrel, for a total age of 4+ years.
